jen - thanks for your comment - that is a quote from something Alan Sondheim wrote (he wants or says people can use his stuff as long as we acknowledge it is his) and his work kind of 'shadows' mine.
That last "entry" was a fragment of a fragment of his vast project!
It doesn't matter too much to me quite what it "means" (I feel Alan like Heiddegger et al (even Barthes and Derrida) is a "poetic philosopher" - one take on him perhaps) it is the resonance of _possible or potential meaning_ I am interested in this art-music and of course the link with "infinity" etc - "an infinite text" chimes with my The Infinite Poem which underlies EYELIGHT.
It is the resonance of is suspended in space or blackness I love - the darkness (or in Maori philosophy or mythos - Te Kore, Te Po (these tow for me being rich with potential and power and depth -as seen perhaps in McCahon's great paintings or Van Gogh or Rothko or Pollock) and thus Tane Mahuta ) I love ... as did D H Lawrence I am just learning... (I just read his great novel "Sons and Lovers"
But there is no direct connection between Alan Sondheim and myself. we are not working on the same project or anything.
